We have launched the second revision of our popular swimming backstroke start wedge. The new version is even easier to install, simple to adjust and will fit most start blocks on the market.
APG’S Backstroke Start Wedge is designed to reduce any slip which may occur for swimmers during the start of a backstroke race. The use of these devices in swimming competitions increases the power the swimmer can exert during the start of a competition, which in turn reduces their times.

The NEW APG Backstroke Flags are now available to purchase. There are two sizes available 13m (for a 6 lane pool) and 17m (for an 8 lane pool) and both are manufactured in line with FINA regulations.
It’s taken our engineers just over 12 months to perfect, but as of today we are pleased to announce that our Backstroke Start Device is now available to order.
The APG Backstroke Start Device is designed to reduce any slip which may occur for swimmers during the start of a backstroke race. Set-up takes seconds and the device also benefits from being compatible with most swimming start block designs. The swimmer is also able to adjust the Backstroke Start Device from the water.
